Grant proposals will be heard by the Finance Committee of the Central San Pedro Neighborhood Council on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 6:30pm at the Whale and Ale. Please bring several copies of your proposal to the meeting. Guidelines are below.
Priority will be given to funding for Community Improvement Projects; which may include costs associated with beautification projects such as tree planting, graffiti abatement, sidewalk washing, median maintenance and capitol improvements to City owned facilities such as recreation centers, fire and police stations and parks.
If additional funds remain, the February meeting will consider grants for Neighborhood Purpose Grants. Public schools and 501(c)3 non-profit organizations are eligible to receive grants for programs which provide a benefit to the community. Forms must be completed for the two types of grants and should be submitted in person at the Finance Committee meeting.
